Vienna
Schönbrunn Luxury Mansion

This delightful classical villa from the 1920s is a near neighbor to the famous Schönbrunn Gardens and Palace, in the most exquisite green district of Vienna.

Key facts

  • situated in the fashionable district of the Schönbrunn Palace
  • only 500 meters to the palace gardens.
  • built in 1928
  • newly renovated and restored to its original design
  • 950 m² of total floor space
  • 140 m² separate garage building
  • 1,250 m² classical Viennese garden

The mansion house has been re-modeled to the highest quality and exacting standards, creating magnificent interiors throughout. The spacious Viennese style gardens surrounding the property are well proportioned and in immaculate order featuring a covered terrace with classical columns.

The Art-Nouveau style of the nineteen-twenties is evident throughout. Furniture uniquely designed for this house is in keeping with the striking mahogany door-frames in Art-Nouveau style along with large Hollywood stairs of genuine maple wood. Venetian mirrors and Swarovski crystal chandeliers and acid-etched glass doors with unique etchings and brass-maple knobs all add to the luxurious ambience. Floors are granite and marble tiled, or covered with hard-wood parquet. The living-room’s focal point is an Art-Nouveau double fireplace made of 700 kilos of Alicante marble. Wall cladding in the master bedroom is in Carrara marble.

All fixtures and fittings are modern and of very high quality: dual-satellite equipment, five large TV screens, state of the art alarm and monitoring equipment, jacuzzi whirlpool for six, a huge, 2 cubic meter safe, and a wine cellar.

The generous living and reception area on the ground floor covers a surface of 120 m², opening onto the tastefully designed garden over a covered terrace with classical columns. The large dining-room table, the Art-Nouveau doors and door frames, and the English-style heating covers are all made of mahogany, with intricate brass detailing.

The first floor offers generous room for either offices or guest bedrooms, and has two elegant bathrooms overlooking the garden.

The attic has been refurbished as a spacious master bedroom area on two levels, with an inner staircase of wrought iron, an excellent dressing room of special design, reminiscent of the exquisite shops of the Kärntner Strasse, and a bathroom clad in Carrara Calacata marble with a shower for two, covered in genuine Bisazza mosaics.

The gallery over the attic is a special construction of frosted glass, lit from behind, ideal for watching TV, and with a view towards the beautiful green surroundings reaching up to the Viennese hills and the Künigsberg (ORF Center).

The basement level is only partly under ground, so that it has a view towards the garden. The grand Jacuzzi whirlpool also has a fine aspect and has an integrated night-sky lighting effect.

The gardens are accessed by car through a 6-meter wide automatic gate. The garage—in classicist style—has generous space for two cars on the ground level, with an 80 square metre storage room below, on its basement level.

The heating is based on a revolutionary infrared radiation system offering comfortable easy to control homogeneous warmth throughout the year.
